Things are Looking Up!

Yes, things are looking up. I have multiple friends and family pulling for and helping me out in my current unemployed situation with giving me assistance and helping me find a job. I have a few leads that look good.

Leah had her last class at CMU today and we, my sister, brothers and Jessie are going to her graduation ceremony a week from Saturday. YEAH!

The Garden: hmmm - what can I say? Since I put up the greenhouse, it came apart a few times and there hasn't really been much sun the last few days, but nothing died. They will flourish and in a couple months I am sure I will have a backyard salad - fresh and ready to eat.

On another note, Jake and I (therapy team) are going to attend the Reading to Rover program at the Highland Township Library. We have already been scheduled 4 readers two weeks from today. We are so excited.

I have also been attending Line dancing on Wednesdays - WOW! What a workout that is, but so much fun.

Yes things are definitely looking up!

Updates - 10 and 1 & What's New?

Well, I am back - I am updating on past activities. I set up the Topsy Turvy 10 Days ago and have not seen much development. So no pics. But, yesterday, I setup my greenhouse behind the garage (at right) . I am planting a fruit/vegetable garden that I started as seeds in my windowsill. I will continue with progress reports. Homemade salads in no time. Corn, carrots, cucumbers, cantelope, pumpkins, lettuce, and tomatoes (out of the topsy turvy).

On another note, a bittersweet week for me this past week. I received a call from a previous employer asking if I was interested in a position at the company. I said 'certainly' of course. I am waiting to hear back to see if they want me to come in for an interview. And, My sisters office recruiter called me as well and will be calling back for a phone interview on Monday.

Why bittersweet you ask? Well there go my plans of having the summer off, but I do need a job. Hopefully one will come through quickly. I can tan on the way in and out of the office and on the weekends.

OH GUESS WHAT - I PASSED MY MOTORCYCLE TEST. I have an official motorcycle license. Now all I need is a cycle. Just want one I can get a lot of practice with until I win the Harley Road King in June or July - can't remember when the drawing is.

So to end this blog today "YEAH ME!" and in the words of Steve Martin from "The Jerk" - - "Things are going to start happening for me Now!" (but i hope that doesn't include getting shot at) hahahah

Tulips & Tomatos & Never Meant to Be!

Yesterday I set up my Topsy Turvy tomato planter. I will keep posts on the progress - I just hope I can remember to water everyday. And I planted multiple tulips last fall to go with the ones i already had. They did NOT die this year and the extra soil i added seems to have helped. I have seen much improvement and will post the photos when they open.

I love my tulips and am excited they will actually bloom this year!

On another note: I had lunch with an old friend today that I haven't seen in 15 years. I admit that I was disappointed to find out he was settled in a happy relationship for the past 10 years. Not for him but for me. There was always a bit of hope in the back of my mind that someday we could be more than good friends and it looks as though that hope has faded. We will just be friends and although the piece of my heart that was given to him so so many years ago, will never be back - I am ok with it. I think that I have finally resolved to the fact that it was never meant to be!

Mom was right!

WOW! 2 great arguments with my daughters yesterday. Sucked! I lost it! Kids nowadays - they expect life on a silver platter - we owe them - they deserve everything! And Proud - definitely - their pride is totally out of control.

Well there is no room for pride in this F'd up economy! They need to get their priority's under control. Do for those who did for them - Learn appreciation - I guess we can blame their behavior on our society of right now and i deserve, but in reality it is our own fault.

Not enough discipline i say - I wanted to do different by my kids and look where it got me.

Well hopefully one day they will see the light. It will probably take them to be parents to realize that in fact - Mom was right!

We do become our parents at some time.

Positive

I applied for a dream job today - Telling people(Govt and law enforcement) what to do (training on software) and lots of travel. I feel really good about it! I believe this job was waiting for me. I can do what I love to do and what I am good at and being able to travel to do it would be awesome.

I really believe that my life could finally be making that turn. You know the turn, the one that takes you out of your temporary depression and puts in an almost elated state of mind. Things can go right and my confidence, that was just recently suffering a real low, is inflating. I woke up this morning to cold and gloomy weather and will end my night with a smile on my face.

Good things can, will and are happening for me. Not all at once but I have patience and will accept the things I continue to strive for, to come into my life in their time, which is this time.

It is so easy to give up and I was close but finding this opportunity at this time proves that my positivity does not result in instant action and I will remember that although the law of attraction sometimes sounds far-fetched, anything is possible.

Be careful what you wish for - you just might get it!

Frustrated!

I am Frustrated! Months without a job and so tired of all the online applications. I walked the dogs this afternoon - it was the best part of my day.

I am waiting and waiting for my amended income tax check - I seriously need it.
I spoke again with the Bank regarding my Mortgage modification. They call every day at 9:30am - I am sending them a bill for the cell phone minutes they raise on my phone. They say the same things and ask the same questions. "We are calling about required docs - it seems you have all the required docs submitted" THEN WHY THE HELL ARE YOU CALLING?????

I am looking into the Great Obama's new mtg plan for those on unemployment since all these modifications that are set up are denied. I can't find anything on it!

I changed my car insurance - they will be taking money out of my account on the 10th and there isn't any in there.

I lost my ATM card the other day and had to cancel it - some lady found it in a parking lot - but i didn't reinstate it (someone could have copied the number) so I have to wait for a new card. Writing Checks Sucks!

It is a beautiful day out and I have alot of work to do outside but I just don't feel like it.
I think I need a Nap!

Happy Easter

What can I say? Well just about anything I guess. I looked at my site and realized that choosing black was a great background color for me but I am going to try dark purple (guess you will see if I liked it or not). I love that spring is actually here - the tops down on the Jeep and today is Easter. Happy Easter to all.

Still don't really have a theme to this blog except "Public Diary" I am sure something will pop soon enough. I feel a bit better today - want to make waffles for breakfast but Leah has my waffle maker. Guess it will be bacon and eggs again.

Looking forward to (according to what they believe God wants me to know) just "being" today - but that will have to wait till after I make my famous Cheezy Potatoes. OK then - time to motivate - big day with family today. We do have so much fun together! Perhaps I will edit this later with our great day details.

LATER IN THE DAY- - -
Well I am home from my sisters where we ate well, laughed well, and a good time was had by all. My ride left without me so Robyn drove me home - half way there I just blurted out "My A$$ is burning" Damn heated seats anyway -
All-in-All It was a good day! Tim (my brother) shot some good video, mostly of us laughing during our speakerphone calls to those who were not able to be there with us - complete with snorts, grunts, and fingers pointing down our throats.

So now i am home and life after the holiday will continue as normal starting tomorrow.

I am thankful that our family is close and can share these days, as few as they are, we had a great day!

My First Blog

After this I will no longer be a blog virgin!

I have been writing all my life. (There I am at 4 - writing) I do not know how this blog thing works - this is the first entry - does the date appear automatically? Will I have to add it? Will anyone read this? Do people randomly search for blogs?

Anyway, I kept a diary all my life so maybe it is time I start sharing. Move into the age of technology and ditch the paper books - of course I don't know what I will use my "poo poo paper" book that was going to be my next diary, for but i am sure i will find something.

Do people get to add to someones blog? Well, I will just see how this works for now - Stay Tuned!
(What are the labels for? searching on topics? I guess I will try an few and see what happens.)
